This may be one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write. It still doesn’t feel real to say it.

Late last night, my brother and sister, Kat and Jacob Dobson, went through a nightmare beyond anything I could imagine. Due to a medical accident, they lost their precious 7-year-old daughter, Katalina.

Today has been an overwhelming roller coaster of emotions—confusion, anger, sadness, and so much more. To lose someone so young and full of life, to have your entire world shattered in mere minutes… it’s a tragedy words can’t capture.

Everything is still so fresh and uncertain. We don’t yet know what comes next, but I will share updates as I learn more.

Tragic Incident on I-40 North at Watkins

Tonight, reckless behavior on the interstate led to a heartbreaking loss. A group blocking traffic to race forced a semi-truck driver into an impossible situation.

Recognizing the danger ahead and knowing they couldn’t stop the fully loaded truck in time, the driver made a heroic decision to steer off the road and into the bridge to avoid hitting other innocent motorists. Sadly, the driver lost their life in the process.

This tragedy is a stark reminder of the devastating consequences that dangerous actions like street racing can have—not only on those involved but on innocent bystanders as well.
