With heavy and grieving hearts, the Chesterfield Fire and EMS family announces the heartbreaking and untimely loss of Firefighter Sammy Ershidat, a devoted and respected member of Engine 211 “C” Shift at Fire Station 11 on Iron Bridge Road.
Firefighter Ershidat served with unwavering dedication, courage, and compassion. His commitment to protecting others and his steadfast professionalism earned him the admiration of his peers and the gratitude of the community he so selflessly served. Known for his teamwork, integrity, and steady presence, Sammy embodied the very best of what it means to be a firefighter.
Beyond his service to the department, Sammy will be remembered for his kindness, his sense of humor, and his ability to lift the spirits of those around him. He was not only a colleague but also a brother and friend to all who had the privilege of working beside him.
