Tragic Murder-Suicide in Franklin Township Involving NJ State Police Sergeant
Franklin Township, NJ – A tragic murder-suicide has shaken the Pittstown section of Franklin Township, where authorities say New Jersey State Police Sergeant Ricardo Santos fatally shot his ex-girlfriend, Lauren Semanchik, 33, and her boyfriend, Tyler Webb, 29, before taking his own life.
According to the Hunterdon County Prosecutor’s Office, Semanchik and Webb were found dead from gunshot wounds on Saturday. The incident took place at a private residence, and all three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene.
Family members of Lauren Semanchik told investigators that Santos had been stalking her since their breakup nearly a year ago. The two had reportedly dated for only about three months, but Santos had continued to contact and follow Semanchik despite the relationship ending.
This heartbreaking act of violence has devastated the families and friends of the victims and shocked the community. Investigators are continuing to piece together the timeline and circumstances that led to the tragedy.
