This may be one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write. It still doesn’t feel real to say it.

Late last night, my brother and sister, Kat and Jacob Dobson, went through a nightmare beyond anything I could imagine. Due to a medical accident, they lost their precious 7-year-old daughter, Katalina.

Today has been an overwhelming roller coaster of emotions—confusion, anger, sadness, and so much more. To lose someone so young and full of life, to have your entire world shattered in mere minutes… it’s a tragedy words can’t capture.

Everything is still so fresh and uncertain. We don’t yet know what comes next, but I will share updates as I learn more.

In the meantime, when a GoFundMe is created, I’ll share the link for anyone who wishes to help. I’m also accepting any donations to assist with funeral and ceremony costs, which I will pass along to the family.

Rest easy, sweet Katalina. Please tell Nana we all said hi.
