The Springfield community is mourning the tragic loss of a young life following a devastating shooting late Wednesday night at The 505 Apartment Complex on East St. Louis Street, just north of the Discovery Center.

Authorities reported finding two victims at the scene: a woman with non-life-threatening injuries and a man, later identified as Xay Xay, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
