Plano Police Bust Luxury Car Theft Ring, Recover $1.5 Million in Stolen Vehicles

PLANO, TX — In a major breakthrough, Plano police have arrested three suspects in connection with a high-level luxury car theft ring, recovering six high-end stolen vehicles valued at nearly $1.5 million. The bust was the result of a coordinated multi-agency investigation, highlighting the growing sophistication of auto theft operations.

In addition to the stolen vehicles, authorities seized a cache of firearms, body armor, and specialized auto theft tools — evidence pointing to a well-organized and potentially dangerous operation.

One of the suspects is reported to have 15 active felony warrants and is currently being held without bond, underscoring the severity of the charges and the risk to public safety.

At this time, police have not released details regarding the suspects’ ultimate intentions for the stolen vehicles, and the investigation remains ongoing.

The Plano Police Department is working closely with regional and federal partners to determine the full extent of the theft ring and whether it may be linked to broader criminal networks.
