On Wednesday, our officers arrested a man wanted for the murder of his wife in Memphis more than a year ago.
Nigel Farmer, 30, has been charged in the October 31, 2024 shooting death of his wife, 31-year-old Ta’Lesha Wise-Farmer.
A tip provided to law enforcement helped lead investigators to Farmer. An Omaha Police fugitive detective and a Deputy U.S. Marshal followed up on the information, putting in the time and legwork needed to track him down. It wasn’t cutting-edge technology that led to this arrest—it was a dedicated officer following leads, asking questions, and staying persistent until Farmer was located and taken into custody.
Technology is a tool, but it can never replace the experience, instincts, and determination of a trained officer.
