On Saturday, July 26, 2025, a devastating shooting occurred in the Paddlers Cove Drive neighborhood of Clover, South Carolina, resulting in the death of 16-year-old Nathan Martinez. The shooting took place between 11:30 p.m. on Friday, July 25, and 12:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26. Nathan was found deceased at the scene.
19-year-old Noah Walter of Clover has been arrested and charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime in connection with Nathan’s death. The York County Sheriff’s Office has not yet disclosed the motive behind the shooting.
