Obituary: Connie Lucille Marez

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Connie Lucille Marez, who was called home suddenly to be with her Savior on September 4, 2025 SECO News.
Connie was born on February 6, 1950, to Antonio “Tony” Nolan and Celina Segura‑Nolan in Newdale, Colorado. As the oldest of six children, she embraced her role as a caregiver early on, helping to raise her younger siblings SECO News.
She grew up in Swink, Colorado, graduating from high school in 1968. Shortly thereafter, she met and married Eugene Marez, with whom she shared a loving marriage spanning 54 years SECO News.
A devoted mother and aunt, Connie raised four daughters of her own and lovingly cared for her sister’s son from the age of two. Her home was always open; she was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering faith. Whether it was sharing a meal, singing, dancing, or offering spiritual counsel, Connie brought warmth and joy into every life she touched SECO News.
Her professional life was marked by compassion and dedication. As a schoolteacher, Connie went above and beyond—translating and teaching English to non-English-speaking children, ensuring they felt seen, supported, and empowered SECO News.

Preceded in death by: her parents Antonio “Tony” Nolan and Celina Segura‑Nolan, her sisters Millie Nolan and Judy Blancett, her brother Beo Nolan, and her granddaughter Eyane Marez Martinez SECO News.
In accordance with her wishes, Connie has been cremated, and will be honored in a small private gathering with only her close family. No public funeral will be held SECO News.
