It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of our beloved mom, Karla, on Wednesday, February 25, 2026.

Our family is completely devastated and still trying to process this heartbreaking loss. Nothing prepares you for a goodbye you didn’t see coming. The shock and sorrow are overwhelming, and there is an emptiness in our hearts that words simply cannot fill.

Our mom was a strong, resilient woman who faced many difficult battles over the past few years. She carried more than most ever knew, yet she continued to show up with courage and determination. Even when the road was challenging, she kept going. Her strength was quiet but powerful, and it shaped our family in countless ways. She taught us perseverance, faith, and the importance of loving deeply.

While our hearts ache beyond measure, we find comfort in knowing she is now at peace — reunited with her loved ones in heaven and free from pain and suffering. 🙏🏼🤍 That thought brings us a small sense of solace during this incredibly painful time.

To us, she was everything. She was our safe place, our biggest supporter, and the heart of our family. Her love was constant and unconditional. She celebrated our victories, comforted us in our struggles, and stood beside us through every season of life. The lessons she taught us and the love she gave will stay with us forever.

We will be holding a service to celebrate her life and allow family and friends to come pay their respects and say goodbye on Friday, March 6th, from 4:30–7:30 PM at Taylor & Modeen Funeral Home. The viewing will be held from 4:30–5:30 PM, and the service will begin at 5:30 PM.

All who knew and loved her are welcome to join us as we honor her life, share memories, and surround one another with comfort and support. Seeing the love from those whose lives she touched means more than we can express.
