It is with deep sorrow, heavy hearts, and profound grief that we share the tragic loss of Deputy Devin Jaramillo, a devoted 27-year-old officer of the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, who was fatally shot while responding to a traffic crash in the Kendall district on Friday, November 7, 2025.
Deputy Jaramillo served his community with courage, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to protecting the lives of others. His professionalism, compassion, and unwavering sense of duty reflected the highest ideals of law enforcement. Known for his kindness, integrity, and quiet strength, he exemplified what it truly means to serve and protect.
