The East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) has since identified Meagan, a bright and dedicated doctoral candidate from Canada who had been pursuing her Ph.D. at Michigan State University. Meagan was known by her peers and professors as a passionate researcher, a kind friend, and a source of positivity and encouragement within the university community. Her commitment to her studies and her compassion for others left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
