In Memory of Deputy Joseph “Joe” Yonk

We are deeply saddened to share the news of the passing of Deputy Joseph “Joe” Yonk.

Joe dedicated his life to serving our community with integrity and compassion. He began his career with the Sheriff’s Office in 1977, and over the years, he served in nearly every division—including Patrol, Investigations, Drug Task Force, Corrections, School Resource, and Civil.

More than just a colleague, Joe was a mentor, a friend, and a respected leader. His impact was felt not only within our office but also across the community he served so faithfully.

After 30 years of unwavering commitment, Joe retired in 2007, leaving behind a powerful legacy of service, dedication, and professionalism that continues to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Joe’s family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be deeply missed.
