HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — The Huntington community is grieving the tragic loss of 6-year-old Julian Kay, who drowned during a daycare field trip on Monday, July 21, 2025.

Officials report that the heartbreaking incident occurred while Julian was participating in an outing organized by his daycare center. At some point during the trip, Julian was found unresponsive in the water. Despite immediate efforts by staff and emergency responders to revive him, Julian was later pronounced dead.
