Fatal Motorcycle Crash in Union Parish Claims Life of Mississippi Man
Bernice, Louisiana – July 25, 2025 – Louisiana State Police Troop F is investigating a single-vehicle motorcycle crash that occurred Friday afternoon on U.S. Highway 167, just south of Louisiana Highway 2 in Union Parish.
The crash, reported shortly before 3:00 p.m., resulted in the death of 69-year-old David Voorhies of Woodville, Mississippi.
Preliminary findings indicate Voorhies lost control of his motorcycle under circumstances that remain under investigation. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
