Carter Elementary School on Saturday, July 26, 2025, after reports of a possible drowning incident involving an individual found unresponsive and in cardiac arrest. The school, located at 820 East 43rd Street, became the center of a rapid emergency response after a medical helicopter crew in the vicinity overheard the radio call and quickly diverted to the scene.
