  • On Sunday, June 29, 2025, at approximately 9:20 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to Wendtwoods Park in the Village of Creekside Park for a possible drowning.

  • Arriving responders learned that a 19-year-old male had gone into a pond attempting to retrieve a basketball and had failed to resurface. He had been missing for nearly 20 minutes. Using side-scanning sonar and a rescue boat, they recovered his body from the pond wsaz.com+7fox26houston.com+7abc13.com+7.
