With her family’s permission, we are heartbroken to share that our incredible foster, Ellie Blanton, has passed away.
Ellie was a dedicated cat and dog mom, a passionate foster, and a tireless advocate for shelter and rescue animals. She generously gave her time and heart to both Final Victory Rescue and our partner, @columbiaanimalservices.
A true hound lover, Ellie welcomed everyone from tiny puppies to senior dogs into her home. Her commitment to this often-overlooked breed was extraordinary. She offered them the patience, love, and second chances they so deeply deserved.
Ellie’s kindness and warmth touched countless lives — not only the animals she saved, but also everyone who had the privilege of working with her. Whether she was stopping by the facility or simply sending a message, she was always joyful, gracious, and willing to help. Her absence leaves a profound void in our rescue community and beyond.
