Friends and family are rallying together to support Andrea, the young wife of Matthew Daines, who was tragically killed Wednesday night after pushing her out of the path of a suspected drunk driver.
Matthew and Andrea were walking together when a truck, driven by a man with a blood alcohol content six times the legal limit, veered toward them. In a final, selfless act of love, Matthew saved his wife’s life — but was struck and killed at the scene.
A GoFundMe has been launched to help Andrea as she navigates this unimaginable loss. The fundraiser describes Matthew as a man who lived with joy, worked hard, and inspired goodness in everyone around him:
