Today has been an incredibly tough day for our first responders and the families who have lost loved ones.
Someone recently asked why I don’t post pictures from fatal accidents, like the one on Cypresswood. I’ve been running this page for almost 12 years and learned a lot along the way. Posting photos of fatalities is something I just can’t bring myself to do. When such pictures are posted elsewhere, they often don’t show much detail—but even so, they reveal too much to those grieving.
I understand that sometimes those images help people confirm that their loved one wasn’t involved. But they also reveal to others the heartbreaking truth that their loved one didn’t survive. I couldn’t carry the weight of being the person who delivers that devastating news through a photo. I’m not a first responder—I’m a content creator sharing local calls and information.
There are plenty of other pages that chase breaking news for clicks and views. They post those images because they go viral and generate revenue. That’s not who I am. Some things simply shouldn’t be shared.
My heart and prayers are with all the families affected by today’s tragedies. 🩵
