BREAKING: A federal judge has dismissed a false arrest lawsuit filed by John Chinnici, a convicted felon, against the town of Bennington and its police department. The lawsuit stemmed from a 2016 armed robbery case that was later overturned due to a conflict of interest. Chinnici eventually pled guilty to unrelated drug charges. Terms of the out-of-court settlement were not disclosed, but both parties agreed to dismiss the case with prejudice.
