• When: Early morning, August 17, 2025, around 3:30 a.m.

• Where: Taste of the City Lounge, Crown Heights, Brooklyn

• Casualties:

  • 3 men killed (ages 19, 27, and 35)

  • 8 others injured, ages ranging from 27 to 61

• Type of Attack: Multiple shooters opened fire just after the lounge closed

🚔 Gang-Related Motive

Commissioner Tisch stated that:

“All indications at this point suggest the incident was gang-related,” and added that multiple firearms were recovered at the scene. Investigators are actively working with gang intelligence units to determine affiliations of the shooters and victims.

🚨 Investigation Ongoing

• Over 36 shell casings recovered

• No arrests yet, but two people were detained for questioning

• Surveillance footage and witness interviews are being used to identify suspects
