Fatal Crash in Stetson, Maine Leaves One Dead, One Seriously Injured
Stetson, ME – A tragic accident on Wednesday afternoon has resulted in the death of a Glenburn man and left another individual seriously injured. Maine State Police report that the crash occurred at approximately 1:09 p.m. at the intersection of Lapoint Road and Merrill Road.
The collision involved a fully loaded dump truck driven by 64-year-old Scott Webber of Glenburn and a northbound tractor-trailer operated by 39-year-old Peter Omweno of Denton, Texas. Authorities confirmed that Webber died at the scene. Omweno was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.
An investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
