Taylorsville Community Mourns the Loss of Jordan Phillip Daughaday, 38, in Motorcycle Accident

The community of Taylorsville is mourning the tragic and untimely passing of Jordan Phillip Daughaday, 38, who lost his life in a motorcycle crash on the evening of Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Hickory, North Carolina.

According to the Hickory Police Department, the crash occurred shortly after 9:00 p.m. along North Center Street near 22nd Avenue Northwest. Authorities report that a 2016 Nissan Frontier was turning left onto North Center Street when Jordan’s 2016 Harley-Davidson motorcycle collided with the vehicle. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, but despite their efforts, Jordan was pronounced dead shortly after the incident.

The crash remains under investigation, and police have not yet released further details regarding any citations or contributing factors.
