Hey friends — I’ve been remiss in sharing this news, as the past couple of weeks have been a blur of family time, grieving, and preparing for a funeral. But this weekend felt like the right moment to share that my dad has passed away.

Hey friends — I’ve been remiss in sharing this news, as the past couple of weeks have been a blur of family time, grieving, and preparing for a funeral. But this weekend felt like the right moment to share that my dad has passed away.

This season is meant for thankfulness, and there is nothing I’m more grateful for than my family, the way I was raised, where I was raised, and the incredible love and support my parents poured into me. My dad was my biggest fan — always cheering me on, always believing in me, and always pushing me to chase my dreams (then rooting for me with tremendous passion once I did). He was a big kid at heart, someone who loved sports, music, laughter, and — occasionally — a bit of mischief. He was also one of the kindest people I’ve ever known.

There’s so much more I could say, but honestly, it isn’t necessary. If you knew him, you already know. And if you only know me, well… now you know where I get the good traits from.

These past weeks have been hard, and there’s definitely still sadness. But I’m blessed to be surrounded by wonderful family and friends, and that has made this tough time easier to walk through. So thank you — truly — for your love, patience, and support.
