A grandmother is heartbroken after her grandson was found wandering the streets of Milwaukee the same day his mother, A’nya Raymond, aged 31, was found fatally shot in an alley. CBS58+2FOX6 News Milwaukee+2

According to the Milwaukee Police Department:

• Around 4:00 a.m., a young boy — believed to be around 5 or 6 years old, barefoot, and non-verbal — was discovered wandering near N. 9th Street and Keefe with blood on his clothes. FOX6 News Milwaukee+1

• About five hours later, around 9:00 a.m., A’nya Raymond was found shot multiple times near 41st Street and Hampton Avenue. CBS58+1

• The boy has since been reunited with family. WISN+1

• The cause of Raymond’s death is being investigated as a homicide. No suspects have yet been publicly identified. FOX6 News Milwaukee

Raymond’s mother, Misty, who lives out of state, said she first became aware something was wrong when she saw her grandson’s photo circulating online. She is now in Milwaukee and has asked for justice. CBS58+1
