6-Year-Old Boy Recovered from Housatonic River in Stratford
Stratford, CT – August 8, 2025 — The body of a 6-year-old boy who fell into the Housatonic River on Wednesday afternoon has been recovered. The child fell into the river while walking on the Birdseye Street boat ramp around 1:30 p.m. A United Illuminating employee attempted to rescue him but was unsuccessful.
